Christina Ortiz, LCSW - Psychotherapist


Christina Ortiz, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey and New York. She has a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Marywood University, Scranton, Pennsylvania and has received post- graduate training from the Ackerman Institute for the Family, Manhattan, New York. Ms. Ortiz has worked with Adults, Families, Elderly, and Chronic Illness and is sensitive to one’s culture, values and beliefs. She is influenced by the psychodynamic approach, Rogerian Client-Centered approach, Family Systems: Intergeneration Approach (Bowen) and the Ackerman Relational Model by empowering clients of self-determination to make positive changes in their lives. Ms Ortiz provides a therapeutic atmosphere in an eclectic and collaborative approach.

She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and NY Coalition of Asian American Mental Health, and the Coalition for Asian/Pacific Islander Association (CAPA).
